Teachers are one of the crucial part of the multidisciplinary team as they are one of the &#13;
main communication partners of children with stuttering. Views of teachers toward &#13;
stuttering and children who stutter are therefore very monumental as views are likely &#13;
to influence behavior. Determining the views of teachers toward stuttering will help &#13;
speech and language therapist to develop and implement professional development &#13;
programs just only for teachers if they need. The primary purpose of the study is to &#13;
know the views of teachers toward stuttering related their beliefs, reactions, feelings, &#13;
classroom management in the context of Bangladesh. Additionally the study has &#13;
identified the knowledge, training need etc. The study has described the socio &#13;
demographic characteristics of the study. The study was quantitative type in nature and &#13;
conducted by using cross – sectional survey method at Dhaka city and Baraigram &#13;
Upazilla of Natore district.  Number of the participants of the study was 196 and they &#13;
were selected using purposive sampling. Data of the study was collected by using a &#13;
semi-structured “Teachers Attitude Toward Stuttering Survey” (TATS) questionnaire. &#13;
Result of the study indicated an overall positive views toward stuttering. Teachers were &#13;
very likely to help children with stuttering although they had lack of knowledge, &#13;
education and training. They had demonstrated inadequate knowledge about strategy &#13;
of classroom management. They recognized that they had significant role in the &#13;
management of student with stuttering. They believed that children with stuttering are &#13;
equally capable like children with non-stuttering.  &#13;

Evidence Based Practice has become a common terminology in the field of health &#13;
profession. It is widely accepted that Evidence Based Practice is very important in &#13;
improving patient outcome and improve quality of care. It is established that Speech &#13;
and Language therapy profession needs to integrate research findings into clinical &#13;
practice in order to improve the therapy outcomes. The purpose of this study was to &#13;
investigate the knowledge, attitudes and behavior toward evidence-based practice &#13;
(EBP) among the Speech and Language Therapists currently working in Bangladesh. &#13;
A valid questionnaire was used to find out level of knowledge, attitude and behavior &#13;
regarding EBP among Speech and Language Therapists. The total sample was 78 &#13;
Speech and Language Therapist, with 86.6% response rate towards the Knowledge, &#13;
Attitude and Behaviour Questionnaire (KABQ). Participants shows generally positive &#13;
knowledge of EBP, they reported they were using Evidence Based Practice in their &#13;
clinical practice and it was significantly improving patient outcome. SLTs has &#13;
positive attitude toward EBP.  &#13;

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the perception of speech and &#13;
language therapy students.  &#13;
Objectives: To identify the factors to influence their study selection, to figure out &#13;
the obstacles are faced by SLT student, to determine their satisfaction level as SLT &#13;
student, determine the confidence level of SLT students.  &#13;
Methodology: Face to face qualitative research approach is applied with open &#13;
ended question form. Total number of sample was 08. &#13;
Results: Most of the student chose SLT because it is a medical related profession, &#13;
huge opportunity to serving mankind,  most of them are satisfied but not sure about &#13;
the future and job opportunity, some of them were not satisfied earlier, most of &#13;
them are confident and states increase opportunity will increase their confident &#13;
level. They perceived problems like lack of opportunities for job and higher study, &#13;
lack of knowledge among people and other professionals, no council and mal &#13;
practice.  &#13;
Conclusion: In conclusion it can be said that, this profession is facing a lot of &#13;
obstacles and difficulties like lack of opportunities for job and higher study, lack of &#13;
knowledge among people and other health professionals, no council about SLT. So &#13;
more orientation in people about SLT is recommended.  It is good news that &#13;
physiotherapy is included in health policy of Bangladesh, but there is no specific &#13;
guideline about working area. So more specification of about SLT should be &#13;
included in health policy. Government should create post for the SLT. &#13;

People with psychiatric disorder have difficulties in their cognition and communication skills. In &#13;
Bangladesh, frequency of mental disorders is 12.2% where females (13.9%) are more vulnerable &#13;
than male (10.2%). The main purpose of the study was to find out the cognitive dysfunction &#13;
among psychiatric population. Quantitative research method was chosen by the investigator and &#13;
used cross – sectional survey to meet the study aim as an effective way to collect data. The study &#13;
was conducted by using Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) tool among 80 participants &#13;
with different types of psychiatric disorder at National Institute of Mental Health, Dhaka. The &#13;
participants were between 20-59 years old and male and female ratio was quiet similar. Data &#13;
analysis revealed that the participants had difficulties at different components according to the &#13;
MoCA tool. Most of the participants were schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder types &#13;
of psychiatric disorder and all the participants had severe type of cognitive disorder. &#13;
Professionals working with psychiatric population need to remain alert to the presence of &#13;
cognitive dysfunction in their clients and refer to Speech &amp; Language Therapists for the &#13;
diagnosis and treatment; which will increase the quality of life of people with PD.
