Purpose: To find out the economical burden and parental stress on families having cerebral palsy children. Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore the economical burden and parental stress on families which are more vulnerable for this study. To compare the burden and stress with healthy children family to CP children family. Methodology: A quantitative (cross-sectional) research model was carried out in the study. Purposively 50 participants of CP children mother are collected from CRP paediatric unit and 50 participants of healthy children mother at Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The instruments used included direct interview a parental stress scale and a questionnaire. Data was collected by a mixed type questionnaire. Data were numerically designed. Purposive sampling technique was used for sample selection who was admitted in Pediatric unite in Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Bangladesh and from the community. Data was collected by a self-demonstrate questionnaire and standard questionnaire and it was analyzed by SPSS software version 20. Results: The mean age of CP children was 6 years and 50 healthy children was 4 years. Mother mean age of 50 CP children was 26 years and 50 healthy children was 28 years. There was correlation between mothers stress of CP children and monthly income of the family. Mothers having CP child show more stress than the mothers having healthy child. Conclusion: The result of the study showed that cost of mother of CP children was more than than the healthy children mother and stress was more. More studies are needed at this area.
