dc.description.abstract Purpose: The purpose of the study was effectiveness of group therapy with conventional therapy among the stroke patients. Objectives: To compare the initial and discharge functional level of the stroke patients, to explore the outcome of group therapy among the stroke patients, to find out the current clinical practice in group therapy for stroke patients, to identify the improvement of the stroke patient through group therapy and to analyze which factors were more or less influence this process. Methodology: Quasi-experimental study design was selected for the study. Total 10 participants with stroke patients were selected through convenience sampling from Neurology Department, CRP, Savar, Dhaka. Results: After one month’s intervention significant changes found in functional activities by using paired sample ‘t’ test and the significant level was (p=.005). In this pre experimental study 10 subjects with stroke were conveniently allocated to treatment group. From over all researchers can be said that group therapy with conventional therapy is effective for stroke patients. This group participates in the group therapy and also takes other therapy. The outcome was measured by FIM scale. So group therapy with conventional therapy is effective for stroke patients. Conclusion: From the small project it can be suggested that group therapy with conventional therapy is effective for stroke patients. This study highlighted the significant improvement of the stroke patients after group therapy. Without proper group therapy the proper recovery of stroke patients cannot As a whole the stroke patients getting functional improvement after group be achieve.therapy with conventional therapy and the result were significant. en_US
